- Hi Folks,
-
- Does anyone have a voice mail modem setup on a computer where they also
- use the power management features of that computer?
-
- I've been trying, but I can't get the computer to answer reliably on the
- 4th or 5th ring. The reason is fairly obvious, the system has to power up
- before it can tell how many rings to answer on. By the time it does this
- and begins counting, 3 or 4 rings have already occured. Has anyone figured
- out a way around this (somehow loading the needed data into ram or something
- like that)? I would like to keep at least some of the power management
- features on (I've already turned off the hard drive power management though
- with little or no effect).
-
- FYI: I have a Tyan Titan III motherboard and a US Robotics Sportster
- 28.8 voice/fax/data modem.
-
- Thanks,
- Chris
